The long road to Yangpyeong!

I tagged along with some of my more active friends on a SERIOUS bike ride! Saturday morning, I left my apartment at 8am unsure of what I was really getting into.  After the 2 hour commute out of the city we made it to Mangu... and I found myself in what has to be the biking capital of Asia.  We rented bicycles for 10,000 won/day (about $10). The path/trail was so lovely AND about 40kms long!  I spent most of the day on the bike and trust me - my butt really paid for it.

I was the caboose for much of the trip so there are quiiiiite a few photos of the back of Jinny.

It was such a beautiful place and leisurely pace that I barely noticed the length of the trip...minus the butt pains.

We stopped in one of the little towns and had my FAVOURITE for lunch - 감자탕 - Gamjatang or Pork Spine Soup!

It was such an amazing day and really differed from my weekend routine here.

Next time, I'll be a little more prepared for the journey.

BUT I SURVIVED!
