Start the trip off by waking up at 5:30 and still only making our 8am train out of Seoul by mere minutes. Couples that travel together stay together...or something like that... tired, sweaty, stressed, to say the least.
Made it to Busan by 11 and we were on Haeundae Beach before noon.
Grabbed some drinks and lunch from street vendors.
Everything is different by the ocean... lobster, dok boki, chicken or larvae?
At night the beach was bumping! Two large stages set up with concerts as well as loads of street performers doing their thing.
Reunited and it feels so good. (Scott Knox, ladies.)
We ate well! Fairly tasty soup for lunch one day (Pork and Rice). Best sushi of life the following day (SUSHI BERRY, legendary).
Most delicious Jambalaya, treated ourselves this rainy day. Some pizza, corn is a standard topping here.... McDonalds breakfast made it on the menu too after a long night.
Saturday it piss poured rain so we did some inside activities. Visited the largest Jimjilbang in Korea, it even had an outside part...hot pools, pouring rain, very cool. Sunday at the beach, the rain stayed away but the waves were MASSIVE. Going in the ocean was forbidden and we saw a guy get arrested for going in. Also, good to learn that the emergency number is 119 and not 911. I feel like this is something everyone should be told upon arrival.
We will be enjoying another short week, long weekend this week. Gotta celebrate Korean independence with the rest on this fabulous country. Life ain't bad.
I read every post in my head in your voice and just giggle the whole way through. Everyone at work thinks I'm weird. Oh well. Miss ya tons!
ReplyDeleteCorn is a common topping in Turkey too! That sushi looks SO good! Jealous!
